[edit] Information
The Titanic, considered unsinkable, sank after hitting an iceberg, April 15, 1912, on its maiden voyage. "Titanica" takes audiences on an adventure of discovery to the site of the shipwreck. The feature-length film was shot during the expedition of the "Akademik Keldysh" to the North Atlantic by filmmaker Stephen Low.
Created from the original IMAX film, this documentary explores the wreckage of the Titanic, using state-of the art diving equipment and robotic cameras. The Titanic's history is recounted, including an eye-witness description of its sinking by survivor Eva Hart.
